Since 1979, Alltype Roofing Supplies have been the go-to specialists for high-quality roofing materials across London and the home counties.

From humble beginnings operating out of a small unit in Plumstead, the business has expanded across ten depots, with an impressive list of contractors who have made Alltype their preferred roofing merchant.

But as a business expands, it’s often the case digital systems require development, too – and that’s where Madison can help.

Alltype Roofing Ltd. placed their ERP system, ‘Netsuite’, at the heart of their business to manage their orders, inventory, pricing and customer details. We designed and developed the bespoke website from the ground up to ensure it communicated and worked with Netsuite in each critical aspect.

As such, the website is able to display the details, prices and stock levels for each depot as seen in Netsuite. Orders from users, whether new or existing alike, are pushed directly into Netsuite. Customers are able to pay off outstanding invoices via their website account, whether generated from an online or in-store sale.

The result is a new sales avenue with more autonomy for users and an online e-commerce experience that matched the company’s vision and brand, whilst avoiding the need to repetitively copy information from the website to the ERP and vice versa.

David Simpson, Commercial Manager at Alltype Specialist Roofing Supplies, contacted Madison with ideas to improve customer engagement through a streamlined digital experience.

Their three independent websites and management software systems were unable to integrate, which meant David and his team had to manually update all things digital.

Not only was this task repetitive and time-consuming, but it also gave scope to potential errors in product availability, stock levels, and their customer check-up process. Things had to change!

In-store interactive product pages
By providing an engaging digital experience, customers can now interact with the website in-store by logging into their account, scanning products pages, and ordering required items – all without assistance.

Proof of delivery service
Once an order is confirmed through the website, customers can use their Alltype Roofing Supplies account to quickly receive live delivery updates.

Account management on any device
At a single glance, customers can now place orders, check their balance, and pay invoices from any device. If a payment is late, an automated reminder is sent to the customer.
